Original oil painting. I made this piece early in my career and it has taught me a lot about painting. For a long time I didn't like it, because the paint has cracked in the background and instead of seeing the beauty and uniqueness it has created, I saw my own failure. Now, I have grown to love it and be grateful that this incident showed me that it is okay to make mistakes and that sometimes these very mistakes contribute to creating something truly unique.
